In this energetic role, you'll perform demolition and remediation tasks to prepare sites for restoration, ensuring safe and efficient recovery for our clients. Your hands-on skills and attention to detail will help transform distressed spaces into safe, healthy environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop industry expertise while making a tangible difference in people's lives. Duties Execute water mitigation demolition procedures, including removal of damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, insulation, and other affected components Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform demolition tasks according to project specifications Assist with fire restoration processes by cleaning soot and smoke damage from surfaces and structures Conduct mold remediation activities, including containment, removal, and cleaning to prevent cross-contamination Support asbestos abatement projects when necessary, following strict safety protocols and industry standards Perform carpet cleaning and surface sanitation to prepare spaces for reconstruction or further restoration steps Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, materials used, and site conditions throughout each project Skills Proven experience in water damage restoration or related restoration industry roles Familiarity with cleaning techniques specific to fire damage, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement Ability to operate hand tools such as scrapers, pry bars, saws, and other construction equipment safely Knowledge of power tools used in demolition and restoration tasks Strong understanding of construction principles relevant to restoration work Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously Effective communication skills for working within a team environment and coordinating with supervisors This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their expertise in the restoration industry while contributing to meaningful recovery projects.
