About the Role As a Field Service Technician, you will serve as a critical technical partner to healthcare facilities, ensuring the reliability of essential surgical and sterilization equipment. You will operate independently to diagnose, repair, and install complex electromechanical systems, directly impacting the quality of patient care and operational efficiency within hospitals. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of diverse mechanical and electronic medical systems. Manage a dynamic service territory by autonomously prioritizing service calls, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations. Collaborate with cross-functional technical support and engineering teams to resolve complex system issues and ensure regulatory compliance. Provide expert guidance to customers regarding repair options and equipment performance to enhance their operational outcomes. Document all service activities and technical resolutions accurately within advanced digital platforms. Identify and communicate potential equipment upgrade or service opportunities to support long-term customer success. Required Skills High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relevant technical or mechanical experience. Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical repair. Valid driver's license and the ability to meet strict hospital vendor credentialing requirements. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a customer-facing environment. Basic computer literacy, including experience with mobile applications and data entry systems. Preferred Skills Associate degree or specialized technical certifications in a mechanical or electronic field. Prior experience in industries such as HVAC, refrigeration, aviation, or industrial maintenance. Military technical training or experience with complex electromechanical systems. Proven ability to manage a flexible schedule and adapt to changing business needs.
