Field Services Manager Position Summary:
Virginia Transformer is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Services Lead Technician to join our team. The Field Services Lead Technician will be responsible for leading on-site service activities, ensuring technical issues are resolved efficiently, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. This position is critical in delivering exceptional field services through hands-on technical expertise, leadership, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Service Leadership :
Lead field service technicians during on-site work, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Technical Problem Solving :
Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site, coordinating with internal teams and customers to implement effective solutions.
Customer Interaction :
Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers, ensuring clear communication regarding work progress, issues, and outcomes.
Scheduling and Coordination :
Assist in coordinating field service schedules to ensure timely completion of jobs and alignment with customer needs.
Training and Mentorship :
Mentor and train junior technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to build team capability.
Documentation :
Prepare detailed reports of on-site work, including diagnostics, resolutions, and recommendations for follow-up actions.
Equipment Management :
Ensure all necessary tools, parts, and equipment are available and in good condition for on-site work.
Qualifications:
Education :
Associate degree in a technical field or related area is preferred.
Experience :
Prior experience as a field service technician or lead, ideally within the transformer or electrical industry.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Soft Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, technicians, and management. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
Interpersonal Skills :
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and resolving issues diplomatically.
Certifications :
