Job Description

Selway Machine Tool, an industry leading machine tool distributor, is looking for entry level, intermediate or advanced CNC Field Service Technicians in the Washington area to install, repair and test mechanical equipment, CNC machinery, and components. Duties include troubleshooting, repairing, and identifying parts for replacement to repair automation equipment.

Mechanical Competencies Basic to advanced understanding of mechanical drawings/layouts Ability to grasp mechanical concepts to identify and determine if problem was operation or program related Electrical Competencies Ability to grasp electrical and troubleshooting concepts to strong electrical and trouble shooting abilities. (based on experience) Other Competencies Must have the ability to work independently or with minimal supervision Needs to possess excellent troubleshooting skills Must have good customer service skills Ability to maintain good relations with customers and fellow colleagues Must be a team player Should have excellent verbal communication skills Must have the ability to work under pressure Required Education and Experience Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area Work Environment This job operates primarily in a shop/manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard mechanical/electrical equipment such as hand tools, meters, test bars and inspection tools. Physical Demands Must be able to sit, stand, walk, drive. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist frequently. Must have valid driver's license
