Job Description

•SIGN-ON BONUS•Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Automotive Field Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on automotive, construction equipment, heavy equipment, diesel, LPG, and related machinery. Initially, your focus will be on commercial fleet vehicles and basic heavy equipment repair's; however, you will also begin developing hands-on experience with heavy equipment as part of a structured training path toward a Heavy Equipment Mechanic role. You'll play a key role in keeping our customers' equipment running reliably while expanding your skillset into larger and more complex machinery. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and wants to grow beyond automotive into heavy equipment. No heavy equipment experience is required—we will train the right candidate. Duties Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on fleet vehicles, forklifts, skid steers at customer sites. Assist with and gradually take on repairs and maintenance of heavy equipment as part of ongoing training and development. Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately identify issues. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in the field and provide effective repair solutions. Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings, repairs, and recommended services. Maintain detailed service records, including labor, parts used, and job notes. Identify additional repair needs or opportunities to improve reliability and performance. Follow all safety procedures and company standards while working in the field. Travel within the Pacific Northwest for occasional overnight service work (typically 1-2 trips per month), with overnight per diem provided. Continuously develop skills in both automotive and heavy equipment repair with support from the team. Experience Experience working on automotive or light/medium-duty trucks (Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford or similar). Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle systems. Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting engines, electrical systems, brakes, and hydraulics. Field service or mobile repair experience is a plus, but not required. Experience on Heavy equipment Repair Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow within the company. Pay:
$26.00 - $36.00 per hour
