This role is critical in providing installation, start-up support, training, troubleshooting, and ongoing service for Infinity's electromechanical equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in both electrical and mechanical systems and have a strong customer service orientation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform on-site equipment installation: mechanical assembly, wiring, electrical verification, and initial power-up. Provide start-up and commissioning support, including I/O checks, servo axis movements, system tests, and performance validation. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues both in-person and remotely to minimize downtime. Conduct technical training on Infinity equipment, covering machine theory, operator use, maintenance, safety, and troubleshooting. Interpret and work from electrical/mechanical layouts, drawings, and schematics. Provide input and recommendations on equipment maintenance and potential upgrades. Serve as the technical expert on Infinity's machinery, including palletizing systems and motion control technologies. Use Roboguide software and ControlLogix PLCs for diagnostics and programming when needed. Maintain customer relationships by delivering professional and responsive service while onsite. Document field data to support internal teams, including sales and quoting processes. Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for urgent service needs. Conduct internal equipment testing and verification prior to shipment. Be prepared to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%, often with short notice.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in Automation Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 2 years' relevant technical experience will be considered. Strong ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize effectively in dynamic environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Skills:
Experience with servo motors, PLC systems (especially ControlLogix), and automation technologies. Proficiency in RSLogix, PanelView HMI, and FactoryTalk software. Familiarity with industrial robots and Roboguide palletizing software. Understanding of motion control systems. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated success in technical, customer-facing roles and high-pressure troubleshooting scenarios.Job Type:
