LOCATION
Menomonee Falls, WI area (Onsite manufacturing and field-based environment reporting directly to the CEO). This is an opportunity to join an established, global manufacturer of premium systems driven by a quality-focused, core team culture. Operating in the Menomonee Falls area, the company has built a reputation for innovation, quality craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service. This high-visibility, hands-on role sits at the intersection of quality control and customer engagement. Rather than focusing solely on reactive field repairs, you will own the equipment lifecycle—from internal Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on the production floor to final Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) live at client facilities. You will work closely with a sharp engineering team, using your field insights to submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) that directly influence future machine design. It is the ideal setup for a versatile technician who wants direct autonomy, exposure to cutting-edge automated systems, and a professional environment where technical expertise is respected and your growth is supported.
What You Will Be Doing Field Service & Customer Engagement:
Act as the lead technical representative during in-field technical assistance and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Provide expert phone/email support and log service calls professionally.
Advanced Troubleshooting:
Apply expert mechanical and electrical principles to isolate component faults, troubleshoot complex machinery, and implement effective technical solutions.
Systems Commissioning:
Manage final system commissioning, execute repairs, and perform expert downloads to PLCs and HMIs.
Control Panel Fluency:
Work independently and safely with high-voltage control panels, motors, low-voltage sensors, and automated machinery controls.
Quality Control & Testing:
Schedule and lead the internal Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process prior to shipment, and inspect machinery exiting production to ensure quality standards.
Engineering & Trade Show Support:
Provide Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to the engineering department regarding quality infractions. Lead the technical setup, mechanical alignment, and teardown of equipment for industry trade shows.
What We Are Looking For Proven Field Track Record:
At least 2 years of verifiable experience commissioning, servicing, or maintaining complex electro-mechanical industrial machinery or capital equipment.
Strong Technical Aptitude:
Completely comfortable troubleshooting automated systems, wiring up industrial controls, and interpreting schematics with minimal guidance.
Communication & Organization:
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a detail-oriented, organized mindset when working directly with global customers or presenting training.
Physical Capability:
Ability to handle heavy lifting and meet the physical demands associated with machinery installations, rigging adjustments, and trade show setups.
Global Mobility:
Full, unconditional willingness and capability to travel 40 to 70 days a year, possessing or maintaining a valid passport for potential international travel.
Professional Stability:
A rock-solid, reliable employment background showcasing long-term career commitment and technical growth with previous organizations. Please apply here or at impactsolutions.com/opportunities where you can see and apply for any of our open positions.
