Full job description Employee owned and well-established company of over 80 years is seeking a skilled Field Service Tech for our Muskego facility. We are a single-source fluid power distributor and control systems provider who designs, develops, and tests our systems to meet customer exacting needs and specifications. We are experts in designing systems that make machines and mobile equipment to push, pull, lift, and lower. We serve a variety of industries including mining, construction, defense, pulp and paper and railroad maintenance. Are you an analytical problem solver who enjoys a technical challenge? JOB PURPOSE

A Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and motors at customer locations and in-house by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES and

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Field Service Technician, reporting directly to the GT President, is directly responsible for: 1. Travel to customer locations to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and related equipment. 2. Install and set up new hydraulic systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance. 3. Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and prevent breakdowns. 4. Build, install, and test hydraulic hoses to meet system specifications. 5. Accurately document all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used. 6. Efficiently schedule and prioritize while traveling. Keep track of tools and spare parts. 7. Completes assigned jobs in a safe and timely manner in accordance with work order instructions, assembly drawings and schematics, meeting industry, customer and production standards and expectations. 8. Operates all equipment and machinery in accordance with safety standards. 9. Performs mechanical tasks using power equipment, measuring devices and hand tools. 10. Minor electrical wiring 11. Maintains a well-organized and clean work area. Keep track of tools and spare parts. 12. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations. 13. Participates in additional activities contributing to the overall goals of the company as the opportunities arise.

Qualifications:

Language Ability:

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of an ERP System, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Outlook.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 3-5 related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluid power certifications or willingness to obtain.

Certification/License:

Fluid Power certifications or willingness to obtain. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record as defined by our insurance carrier. DOT physical exam required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

Hydraulic System Expertise:

Ability to install, maintain, and repair hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and motors.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:

Skilled in identifying and resolving hydraulic failures quickly.

Mechanical & Electrical Knowledge:

Understanding of related systems (electrical controls, pneumatics).

Reading Schematics:

Ability to interpret hydraulic diagrams and technical manuals.

Safety Compliance:

Knowledge of OSHA standards and safe handling of hydraulic fluids.
