Electrical
FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN A
field service technician is responsible for startup, repair, and maintenance of induction heating and melting equipment for a Midwest-based company. The position requires a strong electrical knowledge with induction heating and melting equipment experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Testing and repairing induction heating and melting equipment by traveling to the location of the customer.
  • Providing troubleshooting as well as performing the installation of equipment.
  • Work on site at Power Parts to repair, refurbish, and upgrade customer equipment.
  • Provide telephone support to the customer in order to perform troubleshooting.
  • Conduct training sessions with customers.
  • Provide and take direction from home office management.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
  • Must be willing to travel 75-90% of the time.
  • BSEE or Associate Degree with equivalent experience required.
  • Must possess superb customer service skills and the ability to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to use diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters and high voltage testers.
  • Must be able to read schematics and perform visual inspections.
  • Knowledge of induction and heat treating experience is a big plus.
  • Familiarity with working on high voltage and high power circuits.
  • Knowledge of PLC's and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting motor controls and drives a plus.
Compensation includes Base + Profit Incentive + Profit Sharing/401K. Benefits include health insurance and dental insurance.
