Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities General Handyman Work Perform general repairs and maintenance on buildings, equipment, and facility grounds. Repair doors, locks, cabinets, windows, drywall, flooring, and fixtures. Install and replace light fixtures, ceiling tiles, shelving, signs, and hardware. Complete minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, and drain issues. Perform minor electrical work such as replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures. Assemble and install furniture, equipment, and facility accessories. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns. Pressure Cleaning Pressure wash sidewalks, driveways, fuel islands, building exteriors, parking lots, canopies, and other company property. Remove dirt, grease, oil stains, mildew, and debris to maintain a clean appearance. Operate and maintain pressure-cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure proper use of cleaning products and environmentally responsible practices. Painting & Surface Preparation Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming. Paint interior and exterior walls, doors, fences, curbs, bollards, and equipment. Apply coatings and touch-up paint to maintain facility appearance. Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working condition. Facility Maintenance Maintain grounds, and exterior appearance of company locations. Remove debris and ensure properties remain clean and presentable. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs. Assist with facility improvement projects and renovations. Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used. Safety & Compliance Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a safe work environment and report hazards immediately. Operate company vehicles and equipment safely. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of handyman, maintenance, construction, painting, or related experience. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pressure-cleaning equipment. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building maintenance. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to travel between company locations as needed. Preferred Commercial maintenance experience. Experience maintaining gas stations, convenience stores, warehouses, or commercial properties. OSHA safety training or related certifications. Bilingual English/Spanish. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work overhead for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to operate power tools, pressure washers, and maintenance equipment safely. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Company vehicle and tools may be provided.
