Job Description
HomeCompleted Pro — Part-Time Residential Repair & Maintenance $40 per in-home hour | Part-time | Evenings & Weekends | Lake Norman HomeCompleted is looking for an experienced, dependable person with strong home-repair skills who wants to earn meaningful additional income without taking on the hassle of finding customers, estimating jobs, invoicing, collecting payment, or running a handyman business. This opportunity is designed to work around a regular full-time job or other commitments. Our ideal HomeCompleted Pro wants to put existing skills to work for approximately 8-16 hours per week, primarily during weekday evenings and weekends. What is HomeCompleted? HomeCompleted is a new residential home-care service serving Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson. We help homeowners make progress on the repairs, maintenance, installations, and smaller projects that accumulate around a home. Customers book blocks of time rather than requesting individual estimates, and our Pros arrive with a prepared Visit Blueprint outlining the work planned for the visit. We provide the customers, tools, systems, scheduling, payment processing, and administrative support. You focus on doing excellent work and taking care of the customer. What You'll Work On A typical visit may include several unrelated household projects, such as: Drywall repairs and touch-ups Door, lock, hinge, and hardware adjustments Hanging shelves, pictures, TVs, and other wall-mounted items Installing blinds, curtain rods, and household accessories Replacing light fixtures, switches, or similar components when appropriate Minor plumbing repairs and fixture replacement Caulking and weatherproofing Furniture and household-item assembly Trim and minor carpentry repairs General household maintenance and punch-list items This is not a remodeling or large-project construction position. The work is generally smaller, varied residential projects completed during scheduled customer visits. Who We're Looking For Professional handyman experience is helpful, but it isn't necessarily required. We're more interested in someone who already has strong practical skills and good judgment. You may be a great fit if you're an experienced construction professional, electrician, maintenance or facilities technician, building engineer, tradesperson, firefighter, skilled DIYer, or someone from a similar hands-on background. You should be able to independently handle a broad range of common household repairs and know when something falls outside your experience or should be handled by a specialist. Just as important, we're looking for someone who: Shows up when they say they will Communicates professionally Is comfortable working independently in customers' homes Takes pride in clean, careful workmanship Treats customers and their property with respect Can troubleshoot unfamiliar situations without taking unnecessary risks Is comfortable following HomeCompleted's standardized processes Is dependable with the availability they commit to Schedule HomeCompleted currently serves customers during:
Weekdays:
5:00 PM-9:00
PMWeekends:
8:00 AM-6:00 PM Pros choose the availability they want to offer within those windows. Our longer-term goal is for a Pro to average approximately 8-16 in-home hours per week. Because HomeCompleted is just launching, the first 6-8 weeks may be somewhat uneven while we build our customer base. We want to be transparent about that rather than promise hours that aren't yet there. We're looking for someone interested in growing with us as customer volume develops. Compensation $40 per booked in-home hour This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. At 10-15 booked in-home hours per week, that represents approximately $400-$600 per week in additional income, although specific hours are not guaranteed. What HomeCompleted Provides HomeCompleted provides the customers, tools, systems, scheduling, payment processing, and customer reporting. There is no sales, estimating, invoicing, or chasing customers for payment.
Our goal is simple:
create an environment where a capable person can use their skills, do good work, earn worthwhile additional income, and leave the business administration to us. Our Service Area HomeCompleted currently serves: Huntersville
• Cornelius
• Davidson, NC Because reliability is important and visits occur during evenings and weekends, candidates who live reasonably close to the Lake Norman service area will generally be the best fit. Interested? We keep the initial process simple. Tell us a little about your current work or professional background, the types of home repairs and projects you're comfortable handling independently, and your typical evening/weekend availability. If it looks like there may be a good fit, the next step is a short conversation with the founder to learn more about HomeCompleted and ask any questions you have. HomeCompleted™Your To-Do List.
