Job Summary; Maintenance Tech/ Handyman We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing a variety of technical tasks, troubleshooting complex systems, and supporting ongoing facility improvements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and supervisory skills in a fast-paced setting dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and testing tools such as ohmmeters. Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues and implement control system repairs or adjustments. Conduct welding repairs and fabrication work as needed to support equipment maintenance or facility modifications. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, work orders, and inventory tracking. Lead or assist with facilities maintenance projects including plumbing, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general building upkeep. Supervise or mentor junior technicians or contractors during maintenance activities while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Support manufacturing operations by minimizing downtime through quick response to equipment failures and performing root cause analysis. Collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency and ensure customer service standards are met within the facility environment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments. Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting with familiarity in schematics and the use of testing tools such as ohmmeters. Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and repairs. Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks. Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking. Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings accurately. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work activities and collaborate with team members. Supervisory experience is preferred to lead maintenance teams or oversee contractors effectively. Basic customer service skills to coordinate with internal teams regarding maintenance needs. Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus for facility aesthetic improvements. $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
