$50,000-$60,000 per year, based on experience Vehicle allowance provided Position Overview Carr Industries is seeking an experienced, dependable Residential Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our team as a full-time W2 employee. We are a preferred contractor for a property management group that oversees a large portfolio of rental homes throughout the southern Dallas-Fort Worth area. Carr Industries handles the roofing work for these properties, along with the related interior repairs and other maintenance needs that arise. We already have experienced roofing crews. What we need is a versatile technician who can serve as our go-to person for interior repairs, property maintenance, and smaller construction projects . This is an ideal position for someone who is skilled across multiple trades, can evaluate a repair, determine what is needed, and complete quality work without requiring constant supervision.
Primary Responsibilities Projects may include:
Sheetrock installation and repair Drywall texturing and texture matching Interior and exterior painting LVP flooring installation and repair Carpet repair or replacement coordination Minor fence repairs Minor siding repairs Interior repairs resulting from roof leaks or water intrusion Trim, baseboard, and general carpentry repairs Punch-list work and rental property make-ready repairs Minor roofing repairs, when qualified Other residential maintenance and repair needs as they arise What We Are Looking For The right candidate is a well-rounded technician who takes pride in being able to solve problems and complete a wide variety of residential repairs.
Qualified candidates should have:
Professional experience in residential maintenance, construction, remodeling, or handyman work Strong drywall, texturing, and painting skills Experience with flooring and general carpentry repairs The ability to inspect a problem and determine an appropriate repair plan The ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments Strong attention to detail and workmanship Clear communication with property managers, tenants, and the Carr Industries team Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license The ability to travel throughout the assigned service area Roofing knowledge is a plus, but this position is not intended to replace our roofing crews. We are primarily looking for someone who can handle the interior work and additional repair scopes surrounding roofing and property maintenance projects .
