26-27 Habitat for Humanity King Co Repair Const Crew Member AmeriCorps - 4.3 Seattle, WA Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King & Kittitas Counties partners with low-income homeowners to help people stay safely housed. Our Repair Program addresses urgent health and safety needs through home modifications and critical repairs - such as accessibility upgrades, flooring, painting, etc. This program ensures older adults, low-income families, and people with disabilities can remain in their homes. Since 2005, we have completed more than 700 repairs across King and Kittitas Counties, focusing on households most impacted by rising housing costs. The member will serve on our hands on Repair Team to make structural repairs and update aging systems to preserve homes in King County. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in late July.
Monthly stipend amount:
$2,438.
Additional monthly housing stipend:
$350.
Member Duties :
The Repair Construction Crew Member will serve full-time on repair sites. They will assist with a variety of general carpentry and specials projects, including fencing, decks, flooring, drywall repair, painting, ramps and other accessibility related modifications.
