Job Description

Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technician Location:
Birmingham, AL Crusher Works is seeking dependable, mechanically inclined Heavy Equipment Shop Service Technicians to join our growing service team. As an authorized dealer for leading manufacturers in the crushing, screening, shredding, and conveying industries, we provide factory training and the opportunity to work on some of the most advanced heavy equipment in the aggregate and recycling industries. This is primarily a stationary, shop-based position at our Birmingham facility. While the role is based in our service shop and yard, occasional travel may be required depending on company needs , including assisting with equipment installations, customer support, or special projects. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crushing, screening, shredding, and conveying equipment. Prepare new and used equipment for customer delivery. Assemble, test, and commission equipment prior to shipment. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems. Perform preventative maintenance and quality inspections. Assist Field Service Technicians with machine preparation and special projects. Operate forklifts, telehandlers, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Complete work orders and service documentation accurately. Qualifications Experience working on heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, diesel equipment, or similar machinery preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to read service manuals and technical drawings. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work both indoors and outdoors as needed. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
