Job Description

An industry-leading large heavy-civil contractor near Birmingham, AL, that self-performs road construction, site development, mass excavation, concrete pavement, structures, and underground utilities is seeking a motivated, experienced Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We have an immediate need for a heavy equipment mechanic who is proficient in all facets of fleet maintenance & repairs. We are looking for someone with experience and the ability to diagnose and repair all major brands of excavators, dozers, haul trucks, compactors, pumps, as well as small engines. Responsibilities and duties include performing preventive maintenance; scheduling and performing service; and diagnosing/troubleshooting repairs, such as DEF systems, hydraulics, fuel issues, electrical sensors, etc. Completing all repairs and paperwork in a timely manner. Additionally, potentially working in the elements may be needed. Must have an ability/desire to communicate with management, and to work with and lead others. Applicants must have own tools, clean driving record with valid driver license, and be willing to continuously improve skills by taking additional training as needed. A company work truck will be provided. When you become a member of the R.B.
