Equipment Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Mechanic to support daily operations by maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles, equipment, and tools. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. The position offers flexibility, with work hours available from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Work on small engines, such as lawn mowers, pressure washers, generators, and chainsaws. Maintain and repair pickup trucks and light-duty vehicles. Assist with maintenance of construction equipment, including mini excavators, backhoes, and trailers. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Track maintenance needs and repair status. Communicate equipment issues and timelines with team members. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Support shop and field operations as needed. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and knowledge. Experience with equipment repair and maintenance. Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Ability to work independently and manage priorities. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift tools, equipment, and parts as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous mechanic or equipment maintenance experience preferred. Experience working on multiple types of equipment strongly preferred. Familiarity with small engines, vehicles, and construction equipment is a plus. Basic computer or mobile device skills preferred. Dependable, organized, and safety-focused.
