We sell trucks, file authority, dispatch drivers, and handle all repairs and custom installs right here in our own shop. We are expanding our service capabilities and adding a dedicated trailer technician to our team. About the Role We are hiring a full-time Trailer Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain trailers and box truck bodies in our shop. You will work alongside our diesel mechanics and install team handling everything from brake repairs and lighting to structural box repairs, door systems, and liftgate work. This is hands-on work every single day. We need someone who takes pride in doing the job right and does not cut corners. What You Will Be Doing Inspecting trailers and box truck bodies for damage, wear, and mechanical issues Diagnosing and repairing trailer lighting and electrical systems — LED conversions, marker lights, brake lights, and wiring Repairing and maintaining liftgate systems — hydraulic lines, pumps, switches, cables, and platforms Repairing roll-up doors, swing doors, hinges, latches, and seals Performing structural box repairs — flooring, walls, roofing, and exterior panels Replacing and repairing landing gear, mud flaps, fenders, and undercarriage components Performing DOT pre-trip and annual inspection prep on trailers and straight trucks Performing preventive maintenance — greasing, fluid checks, and inspection of running gear Repairing and replacing tires, wheels, and hub assemblies Diagnosing and repairing air brake systems — lines, valves, glad hands, and tanks Welding and fabricating brackets, mounts, and structural repairs as needed Documenting all work completed on shop job cards and work orders Keeping work area clean, organized, and safe at all times Communicating findings and recommendations clearly to the shop manager What We Are Looking For Minimum 1 years of trailer or heavy truck body repair experience Electrical troubleshooting experience — trailer lighting and wiring Liftgate hydraulic system experience is a strong plus Welding ability — MIG or flux core preferred Comfortable with structural repairs on box bodies and trailer frames Ability to read and follow DOT inspection requirements and repair standards Detail oriented — you catch problems before they become bigger problems Reliable — shows up on time every day ready to work Able to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in a shop environment in all conditions Valid driver's license required What We Offer Competitive weekly pay based on experience Full time steady work — we always have trailers and box trucks in the shop Grow with a fast-moving company that is expanding Real hands-on experience across a wide variety of trailer and body repair work Work alongside a motivated team that takes pride in what they put out Room to advance as the shop grows Schedule Monday through Friday — Full Time Day shift — hours based on shop schedule How to Apply Call or text us at (251) 800-9709 Or apply through Indeed When you apply tell us two things — what trailer systems you have the most experience with and whether you have done DOT inspection prep before.
