In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment, including forklifts, heavy machinery, and other OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) machinery. Your expertise will ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment repair and a drive to deliver top-tier service. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other heavy equipment using schematics and OEM manuals. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspensions, and air brake systems to restore optimal functionality. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to assemble or repair components. Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as tire service, alignment checks, hydraulic fluid replacements, and general vehicle maintenance. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols related to HVAC systems or other specialized machinery. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, or similar industrial machinery. Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with OEM parts and specifications is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and assembly of various components. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and vehicle maintenance tools required for repair tasks. Experience in automotive diagnostics combined with electrical troubleshooting skills. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy machinery safely during repairs. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication.
