About the Role Are you a skilled mechanic looking to advance your career in heavy equipment maintenance? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our technical team, where you will ensure fleet reliability through expert diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and rigorous safety compliance. Responsibilities Execute complex diagnostic procedures on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems to identify and resolve performance issues. Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency. Conduct thorough DOT and safety inspections to ensure all machinery meets regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks. Document all repair activities and maintenance logs accurately to maintain fleet history and compliance records. Collaborate with shop leadership to streamline repair workflows and improve overall shop productivity. Utilize advanced diagnostic software and specialized tools to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Required Skills Proven experience performing maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment. Strong understanding of DOT compliance requirements and vehicle safety standards. Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic data. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment. Preferred Skills ASE certification in Medium-Heavy Truck or related disciplines. Experience with specific heavy equipment brands or complex hydraulic systems. Prior experience in a high-volume fleet maintenance environment.
