This position requires knowledge of general material handling equipment. It is essential for the technician to have good knowledge of parts and the ability to determine if parts are to be salvaged or replaced. Candidate must be able to able to work well with others and follow directions.

Job Duties:

Ability to repair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel- powered forklifts Make repairs as needed including replacing worn or broken parts, etc. Lubricate vehicle and perform other duties in connection with maintenance and operation of lift truck, as required Preform manual labor as needed such as heavy lifting and operation power equipment Inform supervisor of maintenance problems as they arise Complete paperwork as needed to open or close work orders Practice safe work habits Preform other duties as assigned by supervisor Required skills and abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural work environment Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization in a team environment Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, verbal or diagram form Ability to lift 50 lbs., unaided Ability to multitask, prioritize, escalate and follow-up Ability to ready manuals and understan schematics Ability to take direction well Ability to work overtime, as needed and approved Must be reliable, professional, customer service focused and possess good attitude Must be punctual to work and when returning from meal period(s) and rest break(s) with full adherence to set work shift schedule Demonstrated attention to detail Demonstrated customer service skill, inclusive aptitude and attitude Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and communication skills

Education and Experience:

One to three years of previous equipment, material handling or automotive experience preferred Forklift maintenance experience, preferred Knowledge and experience working on electrical equipment All highly experienced automotive technicians are welcomed to apply. Must be willing to learn about forklifts
