This role combines skilled operation of heavy machinery with hands-on mechanical maintenance, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and safely on diverse construction sites. You will play a vital part in executing construction projects efficiently while adhering to strict safety standards and regulations. Your expertise will help us build and Maintian infrastructure with precision, safety, and reliability. Responsibilities Operate a variety of heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drilling machinery to complete construction tasks efficiently. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on machinery such as Caterpillar equipment and other construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or drilling activities commence, preventing damage and ensuring safety. Drive commercial trucks and dump trucks to transport materials, equipment, and debris safely across construction sites. Follow federal construction safety regulations and company safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members. Assist with paving operations and operate specialized equipment like graders or dozers for grading and land preparation tasks. Support construction site activities by operating backhoes, loaders, water trucks, or other machinery as needed to meet project deadlines. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and horizontal drills. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and routine maintenance on heavy equipment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving and safe vehicle operation. Construction site experience with familiarity in various types of construction projects including paving and utility installation. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to OSHA standards to promote a safe work environment. Ability to perform construction machinery maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and general construction practices. Join us in building the future!
