There are 15 elementary schools and 3 intermediate schools. Six out of seventeen schools receive Title I funds. Schools range from the highest student enrollment (730) to the lowest student enrollment (269). The percentage of English Learners is 29% representing 56 languages spoken in the district. Oak Grove School District's focus is driven by the LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) and school site-specific SPSA (Single Plan for Student Achievement) which identifies short, intermediate, and long-term goals. First and foremost in all activities is the safety of students as well as student success in the areas of math and reading/language arts interwoven with science, social studies and visual and performing arts. Student performance goals have been integrated into the state and federal accountability systems. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a valid Class B California Driver's License and Driver's License Information Request obtained from the California Department of Motor Vehicles. A copy of these items must be submitted with the application.
Knowledge of:
the methods, materials, practices, and tools of the mechanic's trade; the operation and repair characteristics of school buses, trucks, vans, automobiles, and other mechanically operated equipment; safety rules and regulations as they pertain to mechanical servicing repair; gasoline and diesel engines and their operation; gas and electrical welding as applied to mechanical repairs.
Skill to:
understand and follow oral and written instructions; diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle and mechanical malfunctions; safely use and operate the tools, machines, and equipment associated with the mechanic trade; perform arc and gas welding; maintain appropriate maintenance records and files; establish and maintain effective work relationships with those contacted in the performance of required duties.
