Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work closely with operators to understand equipment performance and provide solutions to enhance productivity. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of heavy equipment to identify mechanical issues. Perform automotive diagnostics to troubleshoot problems effectively. Execute repairs on various components including brakes, engines, and hydraulic systems. Maintain equipment according to OEM specifications to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts as necessary to support repair activities. Operate heavy machinery when required for testing and diagnostics. Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Qualifications Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery. Proficiency in brake repair and other essential maintenance tasks. Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred. Ability to fabricate parts and perform welding tasks is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and operators.
