Full job description Heavy construction equipment Machine Shop in West Sacramento area seeking a bright, experienced Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Technician to join Tri-C Machine. This position is perfect for someone with a firm mechanical background and experience repairing, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and testing hydraulic cylinders and related components.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational certification in hydraulics or mechanical technology is preferred.

Experience:

Usually 2 to 5 years of hands-on work with fluid power or heavy machinery.

Mechanical Aptitude:

Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and tools.

Safety Knowledge:

Strict adherence to high-pressure safety rules and lockout/tagout procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Diagnose and Repair:

Find and fix issues with pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and hoses.

Test Systems:

Use pressure gauges, flow meters, and diagnostic tools to check performance.

Preventative Maintenance:

Inspect equipment routinely to stop breakdowns and limit downtime.

Read Schematics:

Follow technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer guides.

Document Work:

Keep clear logs of all repairs, parts used, and tests performed.

Salary range:
