Job Description

Onsite in Brighton, CO. Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm From $24+ per hour. Rocky Mountain Powertrain (RMPT) is an independent Heavy Equipment Repair facility specializing in off-highway equipment repair and component overhauls, including work in the construction, rental, mining, rail, agriculture, and power generation industries. To learn more, please visit us at www.rmpowertrain.com. RMPT is looking for a Heavy Equipment Parts Technician at our Brighton, CO location. The Parts Technician provides parts for new and current customers through web-based research and pricing of parts.
What You'll Do:
Quoting, all research and pricing of parts. Researching, locating the best source, and ordering parts to ensure the correct parts are ordered. Create sales and purchase orders for multiple customers and vendors. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of parts delivery. Help customers in person and over the phone with expert advice on heavy equipment parts. Work closely with our service and rebuild shops—source, quote, and fulfill parts orders quickly and accurately. Maintain an organized, well-stocked parts inventory. Monitor levels, reorder as needed, and conduct regular audits. Use your technical know-how to identify the right parts and ensure they're compatible with various equipment makes and models. Collaborate closely with service techs to ensure the right parts get to the right job—every time. Build strong, lasting relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers through excellent service and communication. Occasionally drive a company vehicle to pick up or deliver parts. Assist in the warehouse as needed.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a heavy equipment parts department or related field. Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and components. Solid computer skills and familiarity with inventory/order management systems. Great organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Initiative and ability to self-manager and problem solve. Results-driven attitude.
What Helps:
A relevant trade or technical school background is a plus. Sales experience preferred. Experience with Oracle software preferred. The above list is non-exhaustive.
