Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and equipment operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently across various job sites. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy trucks, trailers, and industrial machinery using automotive electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension checks, and alignment to keep equipment in peak condition. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet specific operational requirements. Troubleshoot complex issues involving schematics for heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Repair and maintain vehicle systems such as air brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and diesel engines to ensure safety and compliance. Assist with assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair tasks requiring heavy lifting and power tools. Document all repairs accurately in maintenance logs and communicate effectively with team members regarding service status or parts needed. Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines. Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics and repair of complex machinery systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various outdoor environments or confined spaces. Valid certification or licensing related to heavy equipment operation or automotive repair is highly desirable.
