Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of a heavy-duty fleet, including semi-trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, diesel engines, and related components. This role requires someone who can perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, complete repairs efficiently, and help keep fleet equipment safe and road ready. Perform maintenance and repairs on semi-trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty fleet equipment. Pay is $35-$40/hour based on experience, with benefits including 401(k), health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and more.
Routine maintenance duties include:
Oil changes Filter replacements Fluid checks and services Greasing and lubrication Cooling system maintenance Brake inspections and service Tire inspections and rotations Preventative maintenance inspections DOT-related inspections and repairs Repair duties may include: Diesel engine diagnostics and repairs Transmission and drivetrain repairs Brake system repairs Suspension repairs Steering component repairs Trailer repairs Electrical troubleshooting and repairs Wheel bearings, hubs, and axle components Air system repairs General fleet equipment repairs Additional responsibilities include: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air system issues Complete repairs in a safe and timely manner Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work Communicate repair needs, parts requirements, and equipment status to management Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety policies and procedures Help ensure trucks and trailers remain safe, reliable, and compliant Qualifications Minimum of 1+ years of heavy-duty mechanic experience required Experience working on semi-trucks and trailers required Diesel engine experience preferred Trailer repair experience preferred Knowledge of brakes, suspension, steering, air systems, and electrical systems Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues Must have own basic hand tools Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred CDL preferred but not required Please contact Steve for additional information @ (623) 980-0506
