•Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Construction Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment, and industrial machinery used across construction sites and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our ongoing projects and operational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for compact construction equipment and diesel engines, a commitment to excellence in equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and loaders using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine equipment maintenance to include hydraulitc system and diesel engine servicing. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial equipment safely during maintenance or repair procedures. Troubleshoot electrical systems including automotive diagnostics, wiring issues, sensors, and control modules to ensure optimal performance of all machinery. Execute detailed service records, inspection logs, and repair documentation in accordance with safety standards and company policies. Assist with the assembly of new equipment or components ensuring proper alignment, hydraulics setup, suspension adjustments, HVAC systems integration, and overall functionality. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in compact construction equipment repair and maintenance within dealership or industrial environments. Familiarity with OEM schematics, hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, transmissions, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, diesel engines, and welding techniques. Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes (including crane operation certification), forklifts (including forklift certification), and other farm or industrial equipment. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately to diagnose issues efficiently. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other maintenance instruments required for complex repairs. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to perform heavy lifting safely is essential. Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
