Responsibilities:
Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial trucks and trailers. Conduct inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Help troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems using industry-standard tools and equipment. Support the lead mechanic with repairs, including brakes, engines, and electrical systems. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance efficiency and safety. Document repairs and maintenance activities accurately for tracking and compliance. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to improve skills and service quality.
Requirements:
Previous experience in automotive or truck repair preferred. Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety protocols. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
