Job Description As a Field Service Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy construction equipment both in the field and in the shop. You will service a wide range of machinery including excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, graders, rollers, and trucks, ensuring safe and reliable operation across active construction sites. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy construction equipment in the field and shop. Service machinery including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rollers, and trucks. Complete oil changes, lubrication, hydraulic hose repairs, and replacement of wear components. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues. Inspect equipment to ensure safety, performance, and reliability. Maintain accurate service records and communicate repairs with site personnel. Operate tools and equipment safely while adhering to all company and job site safety standards. Work independently to prioritize tasks and minimize equipment downtime. Skills/Qualifications 1+ year of experience servicing heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, or similar machinery. Strong mechanical skills, including diesel engines, brakes, and troubleshooting. Experience with preventive maintenance and use of hand/power tools. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to work independently in a field service environment. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
