What You'll Do Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs Effectively communicates with co-workers and customers in a positive manner Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations Perform DOT maintenance on road tractors and trailers Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor What You'll Need Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to stand for significant lengths of time in an industrial environment with exposure to all elements of weather Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, attention to details and find root causes for issues Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting DOT and AC 609 preferred Your Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred We are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
