The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction equipment and Class 8 over-the-road trucks. This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with electrical systems, hydraulic systems, emissions systems, engine diagnostics, and tire repair. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and over-the-road trucks. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections. Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrains. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, charging, and starting systems. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and components. Diagnose and repair emissions systems, including DPF, DEF, and SCR systems. Perform tire repairs, replacements, and inspections. Utilize diagnostic software and electronic service tools. Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Respond to service calls and equipment breakdowns as needed. Ensure all repairs meet company safety standards and DOT regulations. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a heavy equipment and diesel truck mechanic (preferred). Strong knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment repair.
