Job Description

Heavy-civil and highway contractor, searching for an experienced Mechanic to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Test equipment that has been repaired and make necessary adjustments Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work You will inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and heavy-duty semi-tractors and trailers, providing a full range of automotive repair and maintenance services. Dismantle and reassemble trucks, machines, and equipment to gain access to the problem area. Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components. Replacing and balancing tires, following established tire dismount and mount procedures. Repairing or replacing starters, generators, universal joints, brakes, belts, hoses, wiring, oil changes, screens, and batteries Performing emergency repairs in the field Following all established safety guidelines Performing additional duties assigned by your manager Maintain clean & safe work area
Qualifications:
5 years minimum experience High school diploma or equivalent required Proficiency in equipment repair and maintenance Knowledge of air brake systems and brake repair Experience with hydraulic systems and schematics Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including tractors-trailers Ability to dig into complex mechanical issues and troubleshoot effectively Competence in automotive repair techniques Skill in assembling and disassembling heavy equipment components Must be able to complete all required paperwork efficiently Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid driver's license CDL not required but preferred. Employer conducts drug screening and background checks

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
