We are looking for someone that can keep the golf course running by repairing, maintaining, and calibrating mowers, utility vehicles, and golf cart fleet. Must have at least 5 years experience with golf equipment: Reel grinding Sprayer rigs Tractors Fairway mowers Keep shop organized and clean Track repairs, parts and outsourcing. Role of Position for

Golf Mechanic:

Preventative Maintenance:

Establish and execute routine service schedules (oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication) for all course machinery.

Diagnostics & Repair:

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on gas/diesel engines, tractors, and mowers.

Mower Calibration:

Sharpen, adjust, and set reels and bedknives on mowing equipment to precise agronomic standards.

Cart Fleet Management:

Test and maintain golf cart batteries, brakes, steering, and electrical components.

Inventory & Record Keeping:

Track spare parts, order necessary supplies, and log repair costs using maintenance software.

Shop Safety:

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant maintenance shop. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Golf Mechanic to join our dynamic team at our prestigious golf course in Miami, FL. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing all golf course equipment, including mowers, carts, and related machinery. Your expertise will ensure that our course operates smoothly, providing an exceptional experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all golf course equipment, including diesel-powered mowers, carts, and utility vehicles. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals, then execute repairs efficiently. Repair and service diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic components, and mechanical parts using hand tools and power tools. Conduct welding and soldering tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment components. Utilize heavy lifting techniques safely when handling large parts or equipment components. Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to ensure equipment readiness for daily operations and special events. Experience Proven dealership experience or service technician background with heavy machinery or automotive repair is highly desirable. Extensive mechanic experience working with diesel engines, electrical systems, and schematics. Hands-on experience with equipment repair including generators, lawn mowers, golf carts, and other outdoor machinery. Knowledge of Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is a plus. Familiarity with welding, soldering, electrical troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor environments. Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and vendors.
