Golf Course Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Golf Course Mechanic to keep our golf course equipment operating at peak performance. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of golf course machinery and vehicles to ensure smooth daily operations. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of course quality and safety, providing an exceptional experience for members and guests. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on golf course equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, aerators, and other specialized machinery. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to identify root causes efficiently. Conduct diesel engine repairs, generator maintenance, and electrical system troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting to complete repairs accurately and safely. Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inventory of parts and tools to ensure accountability and streamline maintenance workflows. Collaborate with team members to schedule preventative maintenance tasks that minimize downtime during peak seasons. Communicate repair status clearly and offering advice on equipment care and operation to superintendent. Experience Must have knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, gas engines. Proven minimum 2 years mechanic experience with heavy equipment repair, or similar fields. Pay commencerate with experience. Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, diesel engines, and generator repair is essential. Hands-on experience with Caterpillar equipment or other heavy machinery brands is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.

Pay:

$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
