We sell, rent, and service McElroy heat fusion equipment for contractors, utilities, and industrial operators across Florida and internationally. We are hiring our first in-house Mechanic. This is a build-it role, not a maintain-it role. You will own our service function and be directly responsible for keeping our rental fleet and customer equipment running. What You'll Do Service and repair Diagnose, service, and repair McElroy fusion equipment — hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and pre-delivery checks Rebuild and refurbish used units for resale and rental Maintain service records and track maintenance intervals across the fleet Field work Deliver, set up, pick up, and service equipment at customer job sites throughout Florida Day trips of up to 4-6 hours each way are a regular part of this role Commission new equipment and troubleshoot on-site Rentals and sales support Prepare rental units before and after each deployment and keep the fleet rental-ready Provide technical support to customers and the sales team — machine sizing, parts identification, service scoping Convert service and support conversations into parts, maintenance package, and rental sales Assist with customer training sessions, equipment demonstrations, and product showcases at our Miami facility What You Need Required Completion of the McElroy Maintenance training program Strong hands-on mechanical background with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting Comfortable reading schematics, service manuals, and parts diagrams Valid driver's license and clean driving record Willing and able to travel regularly within Florida, including long day trips Must pass a pre-employment background check Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in Florida job site conditions Preferred Completion of the McElroy Troubleshooting training program McElroy Master Mechanic certification Prior field service experience with direct customer contact Experience with equipment rental fleets Your own pickup truck Fusion certification is not required. If you have completed McElroy maintenance and troubleshooting training, you already know how to fuse — and we will put you through diameter certification on our dime.
