Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, including but not limited to tractors, trailers, and other construction equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal equipment performance. Must be able to go on work sites to do repairs as needed and function as a mobile mechanic. Must communicate well with supervisors to be productive and prioritize jobs. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Utilize power tools and hand tools to dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery components. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively. Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure equipment functionality. Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns. Operate forklifts and other machinery safely while performing maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on each piece of equipment. Experience Proven experience in vehicle maintenance, particularly with heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, etc Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques and practices. Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Pay is based on experience. You must have a valid drivers license and are approved to work in the US.
