Job Description

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Atlanta, GA 30358 From $28 an hour - Full-time From $28 an hour - Full-time Heavy Equipment Mobile Service Technician We are looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment mobile service technician to inspect, service, and maintain our range of industrial crushing, screening and grinding equipment. Service techs on average will work 50-60 hour weeks from Monday to Friday. You will have weekends and holidays off. Perks include holiday pay, upwards of 3 weeks paid vacation after tenure, optional 401k, employee stock ownership program and optional health insurance. As a service technician, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting equipment, engines and conveyor systems. You will be carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the rental fleet. Powerscreen will provide a truck, all required tools and any needed training upon hire. The technician will be dispatched from their house to jobsites and will be working with our team to cover mainly the I-75 corridor between Tennessee and Atlanta. Home base will be our shop located in Conley, GA 30288 where the technician will need to visit frequently in order to secure parts for jobs as well as work on equipment between rentals. To ensure success as a heavy equipment technician with our company, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues on a job site. Pay will be based on the applicant's experience and will be discussed in first interview after receiving their resume.
Heavy Equipment Technician Responsibilities:
Driving to the job site. Inspecting rock crushers, aggregate screeners and conveyor systems for proper performance. Diagnosing faults using manual and computerized testing equipment. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts. Repairing damaged equipment parts. Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty equipment. Cleaning and servicing of machine components such as engines, crusher chambers and conveyor components. Performing major repair work when necessary. Consulting with other mechanics on larger jobs. Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
Heavy Equipment Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Proven work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic. Understanding of computer testing technologies. Ability to lift heavy components. Knowledge of construction equipment and diesel engines. Clean Driver's License for the past 5 years (CDL preferred) Ability to work after-hours if required. Good communication skills. No personal tools required. Company will supply all necessary tools
