This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, ensuring safe and reliable trailer connections for our customers. As a key member of our service team, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to perform precise installations, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Your hands-on skills and passion for vehicle systems will drive customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Duties Install trailer hitches on a wide range of vehicles, including trucks, SUVs, and trailers, following manufacturer specifications and schematics Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to ensure secure and durable installations Conduct vehicle inspections to assess compatibility and identify any mechanical or electrical issues related to trailer connections Perform diagnostics on vehicle electrical systems, brakes, suspensions, and hydraulics to support proper hitch installation and functionality Maintain detailed records of work performed, including parts used, procedures followed, and any repairs needed for future reference Assist with heavy lifting and positioning of equipment or vehicle components using forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary Provide excellent customer service by explaining work performed and offering guidance on trailer hitch maintenance and safety practices Skills Proven experience working as a mechanic in dealership settings or heavy equipment environments Strong fabrication skills with knowledge of welding, schematics reading, and metalworking techniques Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and industrial machinery Expertise in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems repair Knowledge of diesel mechanics, HVAC systems, air brake systems, tire service, and vehicle alignment processes Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship Mechanical knowledge of farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and automotive repair procedures Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle systems efficiently Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and working in various environmental conditions Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to assist clients effectively Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-notch vehicle modifications!
