Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and perform basic maintenance on truck and tanker to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with utility locating, the use of hands and power tools necessary for minor basic mechanic activities. Support road construction projects by manual handling, in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors on construction sites; adhere to all OSHA standards and site-specific safety procedures. Collaborate with team members on site to execute tasks such as asphalt paving, grading, utility installation, and site cleanup efficiently

Qualifications:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks such asphalt tankers, dump trucks, or similar vehicles preferred. Mechanical knowledge of truck maintenance and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations governing commercial truck operations; committed to safety protocol adherence at all times. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely in outdoor work environments. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for various tasks on-site; capable of some mechanic or utility locating is advantageous. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards. Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions; comfortable working on active construction sites.
