Job Description
About Us We are a growing tree service company operating a large fleet of trucks, chippers, loaders, skid steers, trailers, and small engine equipment. We are looking for a motivated Mechanic Assistant to help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance on company equipment and vehicles Change oil, filters, fluids, belts, and batteries Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety concerns Grease equipment and complete maintenance checklists Assist mechanics with repairs and diagnostics Maintain accurate maintenance records Organize parts inventory and keep the shop clean and orderly Fuel and service equipment as needed Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment Requirements Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Experience working with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, or heavy equipment preferred but not necessary. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus but not required. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors. Dependable, organized, and self-motivated.
