This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work, operates with a high level of personal integrity, and is comfortable working independently during overnight hours. This is an independent contractor (1099) position with a consistent recurring schedule.
Position overview:
Responsible for servicing and restocking snack, food, and beverage vending machines at an assigned secured facility location Works 3-4 days per week with preference highly focused on weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Shift start time is 9:30 PM with an average shift duration of approximately 4 hours Must be dependable , punctual , and able to complete all assigned duties within the scheduled shift window Operates with minimal direct supervision — strong self-management skills are essential Key responsibilities: Restock and replenish all assigned vending machines with snack, food, and beverage products according to scheduled route Inspect all products for expiration dates prior to loading — expired or near-expired items must be removed, documented, and reported immediately without exception Rotate existing inventory using first-in, first-out (FIFO) standards to minimize product waste Perform a thorough visual and functional inspection of each machine at every visit Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical malfunctions using sound judgment and practical technical skills (e.g., jammed coils, coin mechanisms, door sensors, display lighting) Accurately count, handle, and reconcile high volumes of cash in strict accordance with company cash-handling procedures Input inventory counts, product data, and machine status into a company-provided handheld scanner system upon completion of each shift Monitor and flag underperforming or frequently depleted product slots for management review Maintain cleanliness of machine exteriors and the immediate service area at all times Ensure all machines are fully operational and properly secured before departing the facility Report any security concerns, access issues, or unusual activity to management promptly Adhere to all site-specific security protocols required by the facility at all times What we are looking for: A person of strong integrity and professionalism who can be trusted to work independently in a secured environment Highly detail-oriented with a keen eye for product freshness, expiration dates, and machine presentation Mechanically inclined with the ability to apply common-sense troubleshooting to minor equipment issues Comfortable and alert working overnight hours in a secured facility setting Trustworthy and accountable when handling high volumes of cash with zero margin for error Basic proficiency with handheld devices or scanners for inventory data entry Physically capable of lifting and carrying product cases (up to 40-50 lbs) Consistent , punctual , and dependable — reliability is a non-negotiable requirement for this role Requirements & pre-employment screening: Must successfully pass a GCIC criminal background check — required due to secured facility access and cash handling responsibilities Must pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to first day of work Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation Must be 18 years of age or older Must be authorized to work in the United States and complete Form I-9 upon hire Prior experience in vending services, route delivery, food stocking, or facilities maintenance is a plus but not required — we will train the right person
