In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy machinery and construction equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting various projects that require reliable and well-maintained equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy machinery, automotive diagnostics, fabrication, and electrical systems to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform comprehensive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on construction machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, air brakes, HVAC systems, and steering components to ensure machinery operates efficiently. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet operational needs. Inspect equipment for wear and tear; perform alignments, tire services, wheel balancing, and suspension repairs to maintain safety standards. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills to test machinery after repairs; interpret schematics and technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting. Maintain detailed service records; complete shift reports and logs documenting all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and repair procedures. Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, hydraulic systems, diesel engine repair, and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working with large equipment components. Knowledge of OEM parts replacement procedures for Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu or similar brands.
