Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Helper to join our repair and maintenance team. We are looking for someone who's experienced in heavy duty trucking and trailer dynamics performing repairs, maintenance, electrical wiring, tow hitches & installations etc. on a wide range of trailers and vehicles. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on skills in leaf spring shaping, driveline repairs, fabrication, heavy duty truck brakes and drums as well as various repair while working in a fast-paced environment that values safety, teamwork, and continuous learning. Duties Diagnosing and repairing of drive shafts, leaf springs, brakes, and suspension/trailer repairs using hand tools, power tools and machinery. Assist with the inspection and repairs of leaf springs, axles, drivelines, and trailers. Help with the fabrication and welding of parts or components as needed for trailer/ vehicle repairs or modifications Read schematics and technical manuals to aid in troubleshooting electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes and suspension components Prepare work areas for repairs by cleaning parts and organizing tools to ensure safety and efficiency Requirements 1 year minimum experience in Mechanical knowledge and duties. Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for assembly or repair tasks Experience with welding, heavy lifting, and using hand tools required for various repair processes Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients when necessary Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working with machinery or performing welding tasks Experience with heavy duty truck suspension or trailer mechanics is a plus We value proactive individuals eager to learn new skills in a supportive environment that promotes growth and new experiences
Pay:
$21.00 - $29.00 per hour
