The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pickup trucks, semi-trucks, trailers, excavators, and other heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine-related issues using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering systems, and driveline components. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems on excavators and other construction equipment. Conduct inspections to identify equipment deficiencies and safety concerns. Complete service records, repair orders, and maintenance documentation accurately and timely. Respond to field service calls and emergency repairs as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work closely with operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. 3+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or related role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment maintenance. Experience working on pickup trucks, semi-trucks, excavators, and construction equipment. Ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Familiarity with diagnostic software and computerized troubleshooting tools. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely operate shop equipment, power tools, and lifting devices. Desired Skills Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities. Excellent attention to detail.
