Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Agriculture Equipment Shop Mechanic, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a wide range of farm machinery and industrial equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on farm machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural equipment using OEM schematics and technical manuals. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC, and electrical components. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet specific repair needs. Operate heavy machinery safely during repair procedures or testing to verify proper function after service. Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and parts inventories. Assist customers with equipment troubleshooting and provide expert advice on preventive maintenance strategies. Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment shop experience with a strong background in agricultural machinery repair. Extensive knowledge of farm machinery systems such as hydraulics, transmissions, electrical wiring, and HVAC components. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for OEM equipment brands like Caterpillar or similar manufacturers. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices for automotive and industrial repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling large components or assemblies. Experience with tire service, brake repair, alignment procedures, and diesel engine troubleshooting. Strong customer service skills combined with clear communication to explain repairs and maintenance needs effectively.
