Precast Outdoor Mobile Mechanic

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic with strong hydraulic system experience to join our team. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and diesel-powered machinery in the field. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, highly dependable, and able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions year-round.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and control systems Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections Respond to field service calls in a timely and professional manner Accurately document repairs, parts used, and labor time Maintain organized tools and equipment in safe working condition Follow all safety procedures and company policies

QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Minimum 2-5 years of diesel mechanic experience Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems (required) Experience with heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dump trucks, etc.) preferred Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and hydraulic schematics Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently in a mobile environment Must have own professional-grade tools Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.)
