Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Forklift Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining from 3k lbs to 55k lbs forklifts. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy-duty machinery in a fast-paced environment where your mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities make a real impact. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on forklifts Conduct repairs on hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspensions to ensure optimal performance. Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals for precise troubleshooting and repairs. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all equipment serviced. Execute preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Assist in equipment assembly, calibration, alignment, tire service, and heavy lifting operations as required. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with forklifts: experiance with heavy duty forklifts a plus Dealership experience or background working with OEM parts and systems is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and automotive repair. Skilled in using schematics, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and hand tools for repairs. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues efficiently using diagnostic techniques. Experience working with construction equipment servicing or service technician roles is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
