Malcolm's Trucking Inc. | Established 1983 Malcolm's Trucking has proudly served the Chicagoland area since 1983. For over four decades, we've built our reputation on hard work, integrity, and taking pride in our equipment. As we prepare for our next chapter of growth, we're looking for a dependable Shop Helper / Mechanic's Assistant to support our maintenance operations and learn alongside experienced diesel technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to gain experience around heavy equipment, and takes pride in doing quality work. Whether you're a trade school student, mechanically inclined individual, retired technician looking for supplemental income, or someone eager to learn the industry, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Assist mechanics with repairs and preventative maintenance Grease trucks and equipment Change lights, mud flaps, and other minor components Help perform oil changes and basic service work Wash trucks and heavy equipment Maintain clean truck interiors and shop areas Organize tools, parts, and supplies Run for parts and materials as needed Assist with DOT inspections Help prepare trucks for service appointments Support mobile service calls when necessary Perform general shop duties to keep operations running smoothly Equipment You'll Be Around Dump trucks Wheel loader Skid steer Service truck Pickup trucks Shop equipment and tools What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Positive attitude and willingness to learn Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to follow instructions and work safely Pride in cleanliness and organization Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Valid driver's license required CDL or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required Why Malcolm's Trucking?
